Picture Rocks runs a mix of older homes and a lot of package units rather than split systems. Those fail differently, and plenty of shops would rather not drive out here to deal with them.
A package unit puts the whole system in one cabinet outside, so everything — compressor, coil, blower, heat — lives in the weather. Out here that means sun, dust and wind working on all of it at once instead of half of it.
We work on package units routinely, residential and commercial, and we come out with gauges rather than a replacement quote.
